This is my dedicated blog for teaching purposes with the University of Colorado at Boulder and with Intercambio de Comunidades, a local volunteer organization that provides teachers of English as a second language to the community. 


I was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but have also lived in Houston, San Antonio, and Missouri. Currently living in Denver, Colorado. I spent my undergraduate career studying French and Spanish at LSU in Baton Rouge before coming to Colorado for a Master’s in linguistics. Was a medic and patient administrator in the Army National Guard and also served as an international customer service representative for Home Depot. I’ve studied several other languages including Italian, Portuguese, German, Russian, and am currently focusing on Mandarin Chinese. I also love running and try to do so every day, and I’m a voracious reader.
